As part of Costa Rica’s Bicentennial celebration, the Generación del Bicentenario initiative brought together thousands of children, adolescents, and young adults to imagine the future of the country through art, dialogue, and cultural exchange. I was commissioned to produce the official aftermovie that would synthesize the spirit of the program: inclusive, intergenerational, and forward-looking. Through a collaborative script created with selected youth leaders, the video captures key events, institutional support, and heartfelt testimonies, emphasizing the diversity and aspirations of an entire generation. The audiovisual piece served as a national communication tool to promote youth engagement in shaping Costa Rica’s future and was widely shared across ministries, UN agencies, and public platforms.
